Mike was born and raised in Albuquerque. He received a B.B.A. from the University of New Mexico and then worked as a legal assistant at a local law firm. While working as a legal assistant, Mike gained valuable experience in mass tort litigation and worked on several lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers. After serving the legal community for several years, he realized his passion for seeking justice on behalf of those who have been wronged. Mike made the decision to pursue his calling and become an attorney. He attended Baylor University School of Law – also known as the Marine boot camp of law schools for its rigorous curriculum. Baylor has a longstanding reputation of producing well prepared trial attorneys, and Mike thrived in this high pressure environment. Following his graduation from law school in 2016, Mike returned home to New Mexico and was hired as Mass Torts Director at a local law firm. He passed the bar exam and was officially sworn in as a member of the New Mexico Bar Association on September 20, 2016. Mike joined the team at Rios Law Firm in October. Mike is the son of an Albuquerque trial attorney. Mike not only looks forward to following in his father’s footsteps, but also furthering his pursuit of service to his clients and the New Mexico legal community.
